This is a film about love lost, the hopelessness of war and the Indiscriminate acts of chance that can dictate our entire lives. The film centres on the relationship between English schoolboy James and his fellow pupil Otto who is German, and the dilemma they face when they realise that despite their love for each other, they are now officially enemies at war. Stars Eugene Simon. Director Gregory Nice will attend the screening.
Gregory Nice is a commercials director based in London. ‘Love Have I Known’ is his first short film, based on his asking the question ‘what would have happened to him and his close friend 100 years ago during the first world war?’ The film won Best Historical Short at the New Renaissance Film Festival, London 2019.
